You know we had to do the awkward Western handshake joke. It was just a matter of when.
“He wants you to pull ALL his fingers!”
Maybe they can haggle it down to only three pulled fingers.
He’s not a barbarian! He’s a refined gentleman who… happens to make money by selling tools knowing they are going to be used to kill lots of people. Well, at least he gets a D12 hit dice.
Genchu’s diplomacy skills are greater than his disguise
Ricardo’s moral compass is unquestionable!
Genchu’s fisherman disguise is a complete success. Now he can fool any Wataro 100% effectively……or not.
Well… nobles don’t look long at a peasant fishermen… now that he’s been promoted to translator though, they might look longer… it was nice of Genchu to want to help with translating, but it was also stupid to show his skills, now he’s in danger of being discovered!
Genchu has an arms dealer and several deadly religious men on his side. Nothing can beat him now!
Genchu is a master of disguise! You’ll see why in the not too distant future.
Not all of them. Just mini-bosses and below.
A wise move, considering that hand probably hasn’t been washed once in the umpteen months that guy’s been at sea. And if it was washed, we probably don’t want to know in what.
BILGE WATER, ARRRR!
Unspoken message from Gencu’s translating services: “Wash your hands first baka gaijin.”
Awkward culture clash at it’s finest.
My favorite kind of culture clash!
Should have spat in it first hu?
OH MAN, I wish we’d thought of that! Would’ve made the attempted handshake about 50x funnier.
Hmmm, yeah, to edit it now you’d have to either shuffle panels or make that 2nd last one a movement panel showing a blur double movement from spit to offer.
The page still works awesomely as is IMHO
SFX: forth panel, shake?
Fifth panel, no
Okay, now I’m just super tempted to put that in there.
So muh yes
Did I just hear an interpreter being referred to as a translator?!
*Translation student triggered*
How DARE this Medieval Japanese ambassador be incorrect in his term usage!
And just how awkward.
