        They needed extra material to make all that flashback armor invulnerable so they borrowed it from the future figuring future people don’t need it as much. Unfortunately this means that nine times out of ten whenever there’s a flashforward everything’s gone to shit. An obvious error in hindsight.

      Unfortunately, if you’re looking for a Rikimaru or a Jubei Yagyu to appear with righteousness in his heart and a blade forged of justice, you’ll probably be disappointed. Yori, Masuhiro, and Genchu are our quintessential do-gooders. The ninja clan characters may get some heroic moments in the future, if that’s any appeasement!
