Its entirely possible to compensate for a lack of depth perception by using the realative sizes of objects to gauge distance.
I didnt develop depth perception until i was in my 20s, but I was a competition archer for 8 years.
Its easier now that I can judge depth, but it wasn’t really a handicap.
Even though that ninja girl is sexy as hell, Ken is losing wood right on the first panel. (And already sleeps on the last.)
Quite an anticlimatic romance, if you ask me.

It makes sense. She might even be someone related to Ken. Princess escapes from massacre, joins ninja clan for revenge, same old story. Would explain the injured eye and burns (she’s actually the most clothed of the leadership), as well as a possible obsession with killing Yorikiro. It would seem a bit odd that they were doing business with the Wataro clan, but considering how readily they wanted to screw them for a better offer, I’m willing to bet there’s more than one Daisuke (or sympathiser) in the clan who has a beef with Wataro.
