    Sure looks like it.

Nataku reminds me of Hideyoshi Toyotomi from Sengoku Basara so much.
Big buff hairy man with scary punching power.

I loves me some Sengoku Basara! At least the anime, I never had a chance to play the games. Although, I recall Hideyoshi being depicted as a somewhat misunderstood adversary in that series. I mean after the first season with Nobunaga, who they played up as “THE DEVIL OF WAR” (which, to be fair, he always gets played up as), the second season with Hideyoshi never felt like the stakes were as high because he really didn’t come off as all that bad a guy. Nataku, on the other hand, is a totally bad dude. SUPER BAD, if you will!

Yeah, I only watched the anime too and it’s not bad. Hideyoshi were respected by his subordinates, but seems like this Nataku dude is simply one crafty evil man with hella fighting power.

I only remember the version of him from Samurai Warriors… where he is basically depicted as a monkey with a mustache.

      • Rio_Shinn

In Sengoku Basara, he is depicted as burly man, yeah another characters kept saying that Hideyoshi is a monkey, but another monkey: gorilla.

My favorite depiction of Hideyoshi, and this is mostly due to nostalgia, is in the Onimusha series, where he’s a short, almost midget sized, weasel of a guy.

Looks like my regret is that I never played Shin Onimusha.
But I heard that Onimusha serie will be back again, I hope it’s true.
