I have to admit that there is a significant change in the quality of the artwork since the beginning. It’s very impressive!

Advantage in hand-to-hand combat?
Have they forgotten that Ken and Cho exist?

I think they should have tried harder with their information gathering. This army keeps getting bigger.

Indeed. Despite earlier losses, the army is shown to mach eight abreast at least 36 lines deep. That’s more than the initial estimate of 200 men.

Way to waste the bottleneck advantage.

You have to remember that they are trying to delay not outright win, they’re last move should be to force a seige, and they need the wall for that.

Nobody is ever NOT trying to outright win… but victory conditions vary from battle to battle.
The bottleneck afforded by the opening in the wall is an advantage that they wasted here. Utilising it effectively could have saved lives on their side by costing lives on the enemy side.
This is pretty much tactics 101 : Utilise every advantage at your disposal to advance your goal and hinder the opponent’s.
