That tree made the ultimate sacrifice to take out the greatest threat to his kind. But will it be enough?

Stay tuned for the sequel: Treevengeance!

    TREEVENGE KILLED ME HAHAHA

    • jwkovell

That’s odd. It was aiming for Ken. Sorry about the collateral damage!

      • EternalLurker

Apparently Ken’s penchant for practically-intentional collateral damage is rubbing off on his victims.

    • charles81

Are those Gunner’s last words? LOL

  • randompersonality

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Treevenge! That’s awesome. Man, I love this comic!

    • http://www.nn4b.com suburban_samurai

      We aims to please!

  • Have a rock

Raise you hand if you saw this coming from a mile away. *everyone but Ken raises hands*
I think Yumiko has made a good first impression now…

    • http://www.nn4b.com suburban_samurai

How does one practice setting off such a trap that requires near perfect timing and placement? I suppose she’s just that good!

  • IDPounder

I have to say, “treevenge” is one of the most apropos sound effects ever in that situation!

    • http://www.nn4b.com suburban_samurai

T’was MOMENTUM that felled the beast!

  • charles81

The Triffids will help flora kind rule the Earth!

    • http://www.nn4b.com suburban_samurai

I had to google what a triffid was, my pop culture knowledge is now expanded.

      • charles81

It’s surprising to hear you didn’t already know of them. If you can’t be arsed with the book, the 80’s movie was very true to the story.

It’s like another “end of the world” type zombie story but with these triffid plants as the main threat except the threat takes more of a back seat to the following of humanity’s decline.

  • SoItBegins

    Nah, the sequel’l be Trevenant.

    • KungFuKlobber

      Treevenge 2: Treelectric Boogaloo.

      • http://www.nn4b.com suburban_samurai

Mahogany Gear Solid: Treevengeance (to expand on Joe’s sequel title)

        • Sunwu

Alex, did you think trees can bloom on the battlefield?

          • http://www.nn4b.com suburban_samurai

Yeah. I do. I think at any time, any place, people can fall in love with each other. But if you love someone, you have to be able to protect them. Also, I need scissors. 61!

        • charles81

When NN4B ends, I could totally see a sequel/spin-off which follows Ken and Cho through china or something. I mean, there could easily be plans to wrap up the two characters too much for them to continue as such. But I reckon it’d totally work… Maybe add in tw new characters along the way to freshen things up, add new opportunities for character exploration and just to build another awesome foursome.

          • http://www.nn4b.com suburban_samurai

A Ken/Cho team up would be pretty great! Admittedly, further into the comic, there will be a lot of ‘team up’ moments where it’s two characters off doing things together. Ken/anyone is always entertaining! We definitely need more Ken/Yori bromancing, though. Eventually we’ll get them fist bumping!

          • KungFuKlobber

If Ken’s fist bumps anything other than Yori’s face, it will be a sign he’s making progress.

          • Have a rock

…as long as it doesn’t have the force of ten bulldozers behind it.

        • Charvale

Bark Wars Episode 3 Treevenge of the Swiff!

          =^_^=

        • Katie Balfour

          Captain Treevenge: The First Tree
          Captain Treevenge: Winter Tree
          Captain Treevenge: Tree War

    • MoveAlongCitizen

      The Fur Menace
      Attack of the Pines
      Revenge of the Chipper
      A New Stand
      The Mill Strikes Back
      Return of the Redwood

  • KungFuKlobber

In Soviet Russia, tree chops down YOU!

    • http://www.nn4b.com suburban_samurai

And that’s when the attack comes, not from the front, but from the sides. From the other two trees you didn’t even know were there.

      • IDPounder

        Clever girl…

  • Johannes Hjortshøj

Looks like Yumiko *puts on sun glasses* Logged ken out.

    • http://www.nn4b.com suburban_samurai

I want to say she Ewok’d him, but someone’s already made that Star Wars reference!

    • Kid Chaos

      YEEEEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!!!

  • Red

And to think all of this could have been avoided if he just looked up.

    • http://www.nn4b.com suburban_samurai

Will they never learn that DEATH COMES FROM ABOVE?

      • Speedy Marsh

Chicken Little was right! The sky is falling!

  • Sunwu

Yumiko learned from the finest ewok ninjas which means that Ken = to a Imperial Walk

    • http://www.nn4b.com suburban_samurai

I’d rather equate ken to a super star destroyer.

  • Charvale

Clearly, Ken forgot the first rule of fighting ninjas… misdirection has always been their ally.
    =6.o=

  • Hfar

She must be going for a combo bonus.

  • Bonnie Clunas

How come nobody has mentioned his “what” face?! To me that’s even better than the “treevenge”.

    • MoveAlongCitizen

Not even the Alcoholic Ronin’s seen that yet.

  • BobbyBG33k

I laughed way too much at “Treevenge” thank you for that. It felt good.

  • Hineko

And that, children, is why you do not fight ninja on their own territory.

  • Neska

    Wee!
    Ken gets to fly!

  • User Unknown

She’s going all Ewok on him!

  • Rezilia Grieves

The flying log trap – no true action series is complete without it.

  • animalia555

    It’s Log! Log! It’s big! It’s heavy! It’s wood! It’s log! It’s log! It’s better than bad! It’s good!
