I guess it’s a good thing that sword’s as sharp as a sledgehammer, but that’s still a nasty impact…
Actually it looks like the parry did twist the blade 90 degrees so he got smacked by the flat of the blade.
the flat is still a bit pointy though, so that’s why he got cut.
Well, or we could look at the fact that something probably got crushed by all that weight.
