For a man who first presented as a mean-spirited narcissistic petty tyrant, Maru seems really quite protective of his serfs.
It’s true that narcissists sometimes take benevolent action because it makes them feel good, but I do like to thing that Lord Indigo has some hidden depths. 🙄
